The history of Venice begun from its islands,
in fact, in Torcello there’s been the first lagoon settlement.
With the Excursion to Murano, Burano and Torcello
you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Venice
Lagoon and its stunning nature.
From Ponte della Paglia, near Saint’s Mark’s Square
you’ll get on board of a Granturismo Motorboat That will
take you directly to Murano, the glass’s
island. In Murano you’ll have the opportunity to visit
one of the most fine glass factories of the islands and to watch
a craft master while blowing the glass.
At the end of Murano tour, you’ll get back on board of
the motorboat to go to Burano, ancient fishermen’s
island, with its bright multicoloured picturesque houses. You’ll
stop in Burano for about half an hour where, apart from visiting
the island, you can watch the lace crafting.
The last stop will be in Torcello island.
Torcello was the first dwelled site within the Venice Lagoon.
Here you can visit the big Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral and
Santa Fosca’s Church. On the island Attila’s Throne
is very famous.
Return back to the starting- point. Duration tour: about 3:30
hours.
