The
Ducal Venice Tour combines
Saint Mark’s square and the most important city areas walking
tour with the Doge’s palace tour, headquarter of the Venice
doges governance.
In an about 1:30 hour walking tour you’ll be visiting
Saint Mark’s Square and its main outer
monuments: Saint Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace,
Clock Tower and Bell Tower.
The tour will be continuing with a walk toward Santa Maria
Formosa square where our guide will explain you the history
and some tales on this square. After that we’ll be moving
to Saints Giovanni e Paolo square to admire its beautiful church
and, nearby, Marco Polo’s house.
From there you’ll be taken back to Saint Mark’s
square where our guide will allow you to discover the famous
Doge’s Palace. Doge’s Palace guided visit
lasts about an hour. You’ll get in without queuing.
You will see Consiglio dei Dieci’s hall, Maggior consiglio’s
hall, Scala dei Giganti (Giant’s Staircase), Scala d’Oro
(Golden Staircase), the prisons and you will be crossing the
wide world famous Bridge of Sighs.
